Apartment Business Manager ~ Olympia
We are looking for an experienced Business Manager for 5 apartment communities totaling 200 apartment homes, who will be responsible for planning, controlling, directing the day-to-day operations of the communities along with maintaining effective and harmonious resident relations. This position includes but is not limited to, leasing, collections, resident services, scheduling maintenance, information reporting, and compliance with all applicable laws and company policies. There is an assistant manager to support managing these communities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage financial aspects of operations including collecting revenue and processing deposits, approve and process invoices, understand budgeting and controlling expenses
- Maintain administrative procedures including processing resident applications, submitting required reports, etc.
- Facilitates maintenance including scheduling and inspecting make readies, ensures all work orders are completed in a timely manner, inspect vacant units and community on a regular basis, work with team members, vendors/contractors to complete projects.
- Maintains excellent resident relations including resolving resident issues
- Market and Leasing activities, completing timely market surveys, inspect curb appeal, ensure all traffic and leases are entered correctly.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws, Fair Housing regulations

- This position is full time, salaried, exempt.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver's license & reliable transportation required
- Proficient computer (Microsoft Office, AMSI) & internet skills
- 2 years multi-family (apartment) business office experience required
