Summary of Responsibilities
Our ideal architectural designer candidate would share our values and have experience in design and construction. This full-time position is a great opportunity for an ambitious candidate looking to advance with an expanding company. Passion for thinking of and creating compelling designs through concept sketches and renderings is a must. Your primary responsibility will be to manage their clients’ expectations and experience during the Design & Development process including:
Essential Functions
- Create, design, and draw sets of plans and elevations from concept sketches to final construction documents
- Contact and manage architects, engineers, and vendors during the design and development process
- Schedule and facilitate selections appointments with clients and vendors and add all selections to Buildertrend for client's final approval
- Manage building and zoning permit process including filing accurate permit application and processing final permit for the production team
- Check progress with on-site visits during key phases of construction Communicate with clients, trade partners and team members
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Interior Architecture, a professional degree, certification or license is a plus
- 2-5 years (minimum) of related experience; interior design, architectural, or construction industry preferred.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills, including the ability to coordinate, control and prioritize tasks for several projects when faced with multiple deadlines.
- Knowledge of architecture and engineering technologies, principles, and standard practices
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance related to the remodeling/ construction industry
- Knowledge and experience of zoning/building permit requirements, construction management and remodeling best practices, processes, and techniques
- Knowledge of specifying products and product sourcing
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary starting at $70,000 (based on experience)
