The Associate Buyer supports manufacturing by monitoring raw material supply for each facility; creating and sending Purchase Orders (POs) to vendors; and updating forecast and demand planning reports. This position will be based in our Whitestown Corporate Office, serving our manufacturing team in Anson, Indiana as well as serving our Van Buren, Indiana and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania facilities remotely.

Duties:

• Synchronize your efforts with those of production, supply chain, and sales stakeholders.

· Prioritize daily departmental needs, and pivot quickly when necessary.

· Maintain procurement data such as lead-time, new items, and vendor contact information.

· Maintain proper documentation of quotes, purchase orders, and receipts.

• Entering Purchase Order Requisitions (PORs) in our AS400 system to generate a Purchase Order
• Tracking the approval status of PORs
• Forwarding POs to vendors
• Confirming receipt of products or services
• Refresh/Update forecast and demand planning Excel reports

· Develop and maintain good vendor relations

Education – College degree preferred. High School diploma or GED / HSE required.

Qualifications – One or more years of related experience, including use of an Inventory Management software system and Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook.

Experience in AS400 or MainSaver, preferred.

Skills - Well organized work habits; Adherence to procedures; High sense of service to internal customers.
