General Position Description
The bookkeeper / administrative associate will support the property manager in the management of a 308-unit affordable rental complex situated on 17 acres of land. This position will predominantly handle the bookkeeping for rental receipts and accounts payable, but will also generate purchase orders, invoices, standard and customized reports; work with applicants and residents on matters relating to income qualifications; assist with inventory and maintenance work orders; and provide other administrative assistance wherever needed.
Position Qualifications
Require candidates to have consecutive years of bookkeeping job positions and possess understanding of basic accounting and experience in audits. Other detail-oriented administrative work experience including processing of purchase orders and handling inventory functions necessary, and competency in word processing, spreadsheet, and data base applications needed. Ideal applicants will be highly accurate, organized, detail oriented, and deadline driven. Some understanding of low income and fair housing regulations would be helpful. An interest in assisting people and social service work is desirable.
