Role Description

MUSH is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to shuttle supplies from our manufacturing facility to a storage facility and assist with organizing them. The Truck Driver is responsible for loading and unloading of truck, and proper rotation and organization of products in a safe and efficient manner . The candidate for this position must be able to arrive on-time and be available to stay later than the shift requires based on our need. Previous experience operating a light truck and forklift is required.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Drive light truck with capacity under three tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations
• Load and unload truck following daily shuttle orders
• Operate warehouse equipment as needed, such as forklift, pallet jack, step ladders, etc
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping paperwork
• Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, and billing statements, in accordance with regulations
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicle is in proper working condition
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicle
• Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones
• Communicate with supervisors to receive instructions and determine work assignments and material needs
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• 2-5 years of experience driving Light Trucks
• Valid driver’s license required
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in material handling and operating a forklift
• Willingness to learn and take on tasks with quality and timeliness of work
• Ability to maintain discipline in repetitive tasks and communicate effectively with any concerns
• Highly organized, methodical, disciplined, and detail-oriented
• Self sufficient in looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and quality of work
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred)
• Able to read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions

Physical and Work Related Requirements:

• Standing and walking for long periods of time
• Repetitive motion for long periods of time
• Bending and lifting up to 50 LB
• Carrying, stooping, grasping, twisting, communicating with co-workers
• Must be able to read or distinguish by color between product types and labels
• Willing and able to work in an environment of 55 to 70 degrees and also spend some time in a 32 degree cooler

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
