Chief Merchandising Officer

We are looking for a Chief Merchandising Officer to join Walker Edison. In this high impact role you will report directly to our Chief Executive Officer and be a key member of the Executive team.

In this role you will lead the Merchandising, Product Development and Creative teams in the development of our merchandising and Product Portfolio strategy & execution across all categories of our business. You will have a strong background in consumer goods selling to all channels of retail partners with a high focus on E-Commerce customers. You are passionate about leading teams and utilizing data to drive insights and results. You will play a key role in driving the company vision with a consumer and customer centric mindset.

This is how you can contribute to our success:

• Develop and execute our product portfolio strategy across all categories of our business
• Develop, lead, & coach a high performing team which includes Merchandising, Product Development and Creative.
• Manage Lifecyle and SKU Management across all company Categories
• Lead Competitive Matrix Analysis Process For Market Intelligence
• Ensure Correct Product Pricing and Margin across product assortments
• Work with our Data teams to assess & understand our customer lifetime value, customer segmentation, and be able to apply that to our product strategy
• Drive our New Product Process, product launches and impactful product campaigns
• Work with sales management to ensure product sales goals are met
• Work with cross functional partners on overall annual growth target
• Accountable for identifying and developing product category expansion opportunities
• Develop and build our annual & seasonal merchandising strategy which is aligned to our customer assortments while driving strong financial results
• Develop our long term product roadmap strategy

Qualifications:

• 15 + years of leadership experience with high growth businesses leading merchandising and Product Development
• Experience with Overseas Sourcing Factories
• Experience leading high performing merchandising teams in retail/digital environments
• Consumer first mentality which you leverage when building out your strategy & leading your team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adjust to your audience
• Ability to engage and influence others in a dynamic environment to ensure alignment and focus towards collective goals Incredible multi-tasker who can easily manage multiple high stakes projects at once
• Self-motivated and highly accountable and are always striving to be the best while inspiring others to do the same.
