Clinic Assistant Float

Indiana Physical Therapy is hiring Clinic Assistant Floats to provide front desk and clinic coverage for our Fort Wayne and northeast Indiana clinics. This is an excellent entry- level position that offers the opportunity for advancement. Part-Time positions available!

Part-time hours:

• Monday – Thursday 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm

• Friday 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm

Primary Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Availability to travel to cover absences and/or vacancies as they occur in clinics.

• Greet all patients in a timely and friendly manner while checking them in through the EMR system promptly and accurately.

• Schedule patient appointments, utilizing assertive scheduling and rescheduling techniques to maximize therapists’ schedules while minimizing open, unscheduled time periods.

• Collect co-pays and/or deductible amounts and ensure proper documentation of payments.

• Facilitate a courteous, friendly, and productive clinic environment for patients, staff, and visitors to the clinic.

• Perform daily general housekeeping duties.

• Review charts of all discharged patients monthly to ensure proper documentation and signatures prior to transfer to the Business Office for audit and permanent storage.

• Perform other duties as assigned by Clinic Supervisor, Clinic Front Desk Lead or Senior Therapist.

Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Cash handling knowledge and ability

• Ability to establish and foster effective working relationships with patients, commercial clients, and all levels of company personnel

• Proficient typing skills and general computer operation skills, with a preference for experience and competence with Microsoft Office or similar products

• Must have a valid, operator driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.

• Ability to work legally in the United States.

Indiana Physical Therapy operates 21 outpatient orthopedic clinics in Indiana, including seven in Fort Wayne and one each in Angola, Auburn, Avon, Bluffton, Camby, Columbia City, Decatur, Elkhart, Goshen, Huntington, Indianapolis, Kendallville, Mishawaka, New Haven and Warsaw.

Our Industrial Services and Athletic Training divisions also provide therapy and service options.
