Title: Application administrator & support engineer
Requested Start Date – 6/1/2023.
Hours – CST 8:00 AM to Noon (M-F) Every week
Duration – 6 Months
Status: U.S. citizen and W2 contractors
- The Vended Application Support Team supports various vendor/third-party developed applications, creates and maintains sustainable processes that helps customers maximize the value of their applications via standardization and simplification. A successful Application administrator & support engineer must be passionate about technology, have an analytical mindset, be interested in working with a wide range of platforms and services, and have a solid foundation in Windows Systems, Linux Systems, and Cloud Platforms that can be built on. Familiarity with integrations such as API calls and JSON formatted data exchange is required.
- Responsible for provisioning, deploying, administering, monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrading, and patching of vendor applications and dependent applications/ services in Hybrid cloud environment (AWS, Azure, and datacenter).
- Document complex processes, procedures, system configurations, and specifications.
- Exhibit strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the capability to acquire, retain and leverage advanced technical competencies.
- Able to coalesce design specifications independently and collaboratively, manage and develop stable, best practice, environment specific enterprise class solutions.
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of enterprise solutions, architecture, and lifecycles.
- Experience of Administration and Maintenance of applications in public cloud including hosted environments.
- Basic understanding of SQL queries, ODBC, and relational databases.
- Professional experience working with Cold Fusion, IIS, APIs, and JSON
- General networking and TCP/IP stack knowledge
- Experience with Application management and integrations
- Oversee the installation, configuration, deployment and updates of vendor applications and enhancements to existing applications managed by the team
- JIRA, Confluence, AIM, Sunapsis, Pharos, Cometprint, Cintas, Titanium, Odyssey PCS, RightFax, StarRez, Keywatcher, Inteum, Image-Onsite, EMS, Desigo, etc.
- License Management (FlexLM, LM-X, OpenLM)
- Oversee the integrations of Applications (Adobe Creative Cloud, Flexera-Cloudscape, GitHub, etc.)
- Establishes Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Experience with Containerization and tools like Chef/Puppet/Ansible.
- Ensure new software integrations meet functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
- Vulnerability assessment and remediation
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $68.00 per hour
