Job description
Hanover Iron Works, a rapidly growing steel fabrication and installation company is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator for our Richmond, Va shop.

Operate and Maintain production cutting machinery. Process material as part of the production process.
Duties
- Load and unload the burning table using the overhead crane with chains or magnet
- Remove cut product from the table, stack on pallets or place in bins, and ensure timely delivery to the next department as required
- Program and operate plasma cutter
- Program and set up using proper gases and cutting tips
- Perform routine maintenance including cleaning machine and workspace
- Troubleshoot program
- Work in accordance to established safety rules and good housekeeping practices
- Work on additional equipment or tasks outside the job description as directed by the Plant Manager
- Perform all necessary quality checks during production
- Complete daily production reports accurately
- Must be able to work independently
- Safety Sensitive Position
Required Experience/Abilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with overhead cranes, basic hand tools, and tape measure
- Must be able to drive a forklift and safely handle materials
- Experience working a CNC controlled plasma cutting system is a plus
- Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge, Outlook and Excel
- Ability to work well under in a fast paced work environment while exercising sound judgement

Work Environment
- Subject to inside environmental conditions
- Exposed to loud noises
- Exposed to dust and foreign particles, welding fumes, exhaust fumes, paint fumes, etc.

- Subject to electrical shock risk
Physical Requirements
- Lift at least 75 lbs.
- Standing, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Close visual acuity
