Job Description
Position Overview:
The Value Plus Program is an Amcor-wide Marketing and Sales improvement program that strives for Commercial Excellence. In reporting to the Director Commercial Excellence, this role will be a critical member of the ARP Commercial Excellence Team and central to the successful driving and implementation of Amcor Rigid Packaging (ARP) Commercial Excellence & Value Plus strategies and priorities. Practically engaged with all functions across the ARP business group, the role will focus actions and activities in collaboration with ARP Commercial Directors and Managers to promote, embed and align the adoption of Value Plus workplans and operating models across the Commercial Team supporting ARP’s journey to Commercial Excellence.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead and coordinate, in collaboration with Business Unit (BU) Commercial VP/Directors, the implementation of new Commercial Excellence systems, procedures and tools of Value Plus, including PMDB, Salesforce, Key Account (KA) Management and account reviews, based on content and priorities developed by the ARP Commercial Excellence Team and the ARP Sales & Marketing Leadership Council (SMLC).
- Maintain overall responsibility, in collaboration with BU Commercial Directors, Value Plus Reporting Analysts and SFDC Technical advisors, for management of SalesForce (SF) activities across ARP, SF pipeline quality, stage-gate activity, and reporting.
- Responsible for tracking value generated by Value Plus Activities in Salesforce.
- Organize and schedule ARP executive-level account reviews for Global Key Accounts, Master Accounts, and select Segment and Customers.
- Together with the ARP Value Plus Team and BU Commercial Directors, collaborate to coach Key Account Managers on all aspects related to commercial excellence, including Key Account Management, cross functional team development, identifying value opportunities and leakages, among others.
- Ensure the continuity of the Value Plus operating model, as it becomes an integral part of the Amcor Commercial Excellence DNA.
- Other Value Plus activities as deemed necessary in the support of Commercial Excellence implementation across Amcor Rigid Packaging.
Systems
- Actively promote use of the PMDB Plus profitability system through analysis, account reviews, training and system development
- Oversee implementation, usage and improvements of SalesForce usage across ARP
- Coach the commercial leadership and account managers on use of both PMDB and SFDC
Skills Required:

- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Fluency in Spanish (preferable)
- CRM system skills (SalesForce) and report writing
- Analytical skills: Ability to run analysis using PMDB and use data to uncover margin improvement opportunities.
- Facilitation skills: Ability to prepare, run and interact with cross functional business teams, providing theoretical training as well as running practical workshops. High energy to drive change and solid project management skills to make it happen. Ability to coach, train and influence other people
- Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
- Firm understanding of Sales & Marketing in a B2B environment
- Strong team work and inter-personal skill
- Strong analytical skills and sound business judgment
- Good knowledge of financials concepts and financial statements
- Ability to quickly understand, consider and offer feedback in a commercial setting
- He/she needs to have experience leading change management initiatives, implementing new ways of working across a business
- Experience training and facilitating others around best practice usages of systems and tools
- Cross functional team interactions and/or roles influencing cross functional peers
- Confidence and good presentation skills
