Do you love plants, do you love insects, do you love BUTTERFLIES? Do you love playing in the dirt if this sounds like you, I have the perfect job for you. We are looking for one or two butterfly breeders. Yes you heard that correctly BUTTERFLY BREEDER this is a real position. We are The largest butterfly farm in North America we are suppliers for many zoos and conservatories across the United States and supply two huge butterfly events every year here in Central Florida. Pre-covid we would do an event at Kennedy space center for Earth Day. Every year we also do a corn maze where we set up a large butterfly tent and have thousands of guests come through daily.
When applying for this job please understand that you will be handling thousands of caterpillars on a daily basis (some have spikes) we do offer PPE if the caterpillars cause too much of an irritant.

BE RELIABLE, DEPENDABLE, HARD WORKING, COMFORTABLE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE, FLEXIBILITY, ABLE TO WORK FULL TIME + OVERTIME. If you are someone who likes to go above and beyond the call of duty would be amazing. Must be able to work overtime when asked, work holidays, work in Florida heat, be able to stand for long periods, lift 30lbs. This is a farm it is hard work. Must work well with others. No drama! Please just come in do your job do your best to learn as much as you can. You will be needed to fill in for other positions at times because we are a small company, dish washer, feeding animals, planting ,WEEDING. All farm actives.

We are a very small farm with only to eight employees dependability is a must. We offer a week paid vacation after your first year plus 30 minutes paid for lunch on your third year we give you two weeks paid vacation and one hour for lunch paid. We are not looking for somebody that just wants a job we are looking for someone that is wanting to stay and learn and grow with US. We have recently opened up our farm to tours. We have many homeschool groups come every year along with Osceola county schools & charter schools. This has expanded our opportunities along with purchasing more property in 2020 to expand. COVID-19 considerations:
When we have visitors to the farm we all wear our masks and leave it up to our guests if they would like to wear mask while visiting. We have many school-age children that just are unable to wear the mask during their entire visit.
