What does a great Financial Analyst do?
Fiserv is looking for university graduates with drive and enthusiasm who are interested in progressing in finance. We’re looking for the best and brightest to build the framework for the firm’s future and provide a pipeline of top talent for positions in our Finance and Accounting organization. Rotating throughout finance supporting our business units and functions, you will have the opportunity to participate in complex projects that have a significant impact on the business while strengthening the skills necessary to lead in the finance industry. Leadership development curriculums, mentoring, on-the-job learning and exposure to senior leadership will be offered with the ability to advance within our company upon completion of the 2-year rotational program. Fiserv Analyst rotations will have two start dates: January 23, 2023 and July 17, 2023.
Example Job Responsibilities:
- Identify key data points and trends that demonstrate the relationship between operational, financial and performance goals
- Manage financial risk by helping the business adapt to new conditions and monitor operating expense to ensure alignment with budget.
- Conducts and documents moderate to complex financial analysis projects for senior leadership to assist decision-making
- Prepares financial and business-related analysis and research in such areas as financial and expense performance, budgeting, costing, rate of return, depreciation, and working capital
- Prepares forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance, general business conditions and other related areas
- Active role in monthly, quarterly, and annual system forecasting across the company
- Posts journal entries, help with accounts receivable, payable and bank statement reconciliation
Candidate Qualifications & Education Requirements
What we are looking for…
- Recent graduates of a bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Math or Economics
- GPA 3.0+ preferred
- Enthusiasm, inquisitiveness, self-starter and drive
- Strong interpersonal communication and listening skills, critical writing and thinking skills, an open-minded approach and ability to think on one’s feet
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships and work collaboratively and cross functionally with all levels of staff and leaders
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, tight deadlines, multiple priorities, and demanding environments
- Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes in direction and altering priorities.
- Attention to detail, highly adaptable, ability to multi-task and effectively meet deadlines
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and flexible to changing priorities

- Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to effectively use Excel and PowerPoint, and have a technical aptitude to learn new applications quickly
- AO, SAP, Oracle, Tableau and PowerBi experience a plus
- Capability to balance multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively meet deadlines
- Ability to think strategically and communicate clearly
- Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills
