Accounting Director: This person will be an integral part of our accounting team. Reporting directly to the EVP of Finance, this person requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is enthusiastic about growth opportunities and is driven to lead a team and produce quality work. This position involves accounting responsibilities including the production of periodic financial reports, JEs, general ledger maintenance, accounting process and documentation, as well as ad-hoc analysis and special projects. The Accounting Director will actively engage and collaborate with the accounting team and company business units.

Primary Role:

  • Work closely with and support all members of the accounting and operations team.
  • Prepare/Review JEs related to the close processes and others as needed.
  • Perform and/or review reconciliations related to sales tax, payroll, intercompany and administrative expenses, etc.
  • Review and implement annual budgets across businesses.
  • Ensure income and expenses are properly documented across businesses.
  • Ensure that balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, are reconciled timely.
  • Work closely with Executive team to communicate financials, KPIs and other financial initiatives.
  • Assist in the implementation of an effective internal Accounting Director environment.
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.
  • Experience working with QuickBooks or a similar accounting system.
  • Enjoy preparing account reconciliations, journal entries and budgets.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Well-developed financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High sense of urgency and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

The annual compensation ranges from $105,000-$125,000 dependent on experience & skill level.
