CFO / Controller

We're a boutique, growth-oriented, entrepreneurial real estate investment group. We manage over $120m in assets (600 doors and private money operations) and buy and sell over $10m in real-estate assets every year. We are specialized in investing in distressed or under-managed properties and have operations in Jacksonville and Tampa. We strongly believe that a tougher real-estate market we give us further opportunities to grow.

We are looking to further structure our operations and hire our new Chief financial officer. The position reports directly to the President.

We are looking for someone genuinely interested in real-estate investing with the potential and willingness to grow with us.

ln his hands-on role, you will:

• Be responsible for the quality/integrity of internal financial information and all general ledger functions, including the management of your team.
• Be responsible for the execution of the month-end close procedures.
• Oversee all financial and accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll.
• Handle the relationship with our banks and our lenders (including working on securing new financing and providing all necessary documentation and reporting) or borrowers.
• Help asset managers with the control of expenses and renovation budgets.
• Organize the financial and administrative processes for the various companies in the group.
• Work with the President on the preparation of the annual returns with our CPA for the various investment companies.
• Handle all insurance aspects for our operations and the properties we manage.
• Review closing documents, work on curing various title issues to ensure accurate and safe closings.
• Follow all legal and internal control issues
• Work closely with the President on any other financial issues and development.
• Other finance and administrative duties as required.

Education & Experience:

• Master or Bachelor's Degree in finance or a related field is required.
• Must be forward-thinking and creative with high ethical standards.
• Must have a passion for getting things done, problems solved and an attention to details.
• Must believe in continual process improvement.
• This is a hands-on position.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
• You are expert with excel (lookups, pivot tables, etc.) and the use of the online/cloud tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
