Brella just opened its second child care center in Hollywood and we are looking for teachers who are excited about building a new model of child care that responds to families' varying child care needs, while also delivering the highest quality experiences for children.

Currently, we are looking for a Substitute Teacher who can cover pre-planned vacations and time off for our center staff. We are open M-F 8AM-5PM and Saturday from 9AM - 1PM. We are also open to Substitute Teachers on Saturday's only if they're able to cover our Playa Vista location as well.

As a Substitute ECE Teacher You Will:

• Be available primarily for pre-scheduled time off/vacations (hours will vary)
• Provide a safe and loving environment for young children
• Model empathy through respect, response, and gentle guidance
• Engage as children work with age appropriate, stimulating and thoughtful materials
• Keep the classroom safe by following procedures and guidelines

Experience, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Candidates will need to have at least 12 ECE units (Required)
• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility (Preferred)
• Must meet the requirements of the California Department of Social Services (licensing)
• Ability to be flexible, willingness to cooperate, desire to be helpful, “yes”-mentality.
• A collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn from others
• Ability to display a patient and calm demeanor coupled with a loving approach to every child

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
