The role you’ll contribute:

The Endoscopy Associate assists the physician and RN in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures,
prepares and maintains the endoscopy equipment, transports the patient, assists in patient care delivery under the direct
supervision of the Registered Nurse

  • Prepares patients for procedures under the direction of registered nurse
  • Identifies recording errors/artifacts and reacts appropriately
  • Prepares room in a timely manner with all anticipated supplies and equipment for each individual endoscopy procedure
  • Follows standard of practice according to Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and Society of
Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA)
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications


The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School Grad or Equiv

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

  • Certified Surgical Technician, OR SGNA – GI Technical Specialist (GTS), OR SGNA – Advanced GI Technical Specialist (AGTS)
