Job description

We are hiring for an Entry Level Intermodal Dispatcher for a leading trucking company in Elk Grove Village, IL.

Qualified candidates:

No experience necessary but willing to learn the industry.

Or less than 1 year as intermodal dispatcher in trucking.

Must be able to follow direction and guidelines and meet strict deadlines and be a team player.

Job duties include:

· Work directly with the Operations department to strive for customer and driver satisfaction.

· Dispatcher is accountable for the on time service and successful delivery of customer freight.

· Monitoring service failures and equipment management is a critical part of this role.

· A great dispatcher is able to efficiently manage and position drivers with minimal supervision while maintaining a culture of safety and responsibility throughout their driver team.

· Cost managing by managing EQ utilization of effectiveness and termination in time

· Retention of Drivers and managing relationship

· Communication with CSR team to ensure proactive update and update customers on the status of their deliveries including any delays that occur

· Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and address any routing issues they might have

- Any other duties assigned and requested.
