Environmental Engineer

Position overview:
MSK Engineers, a multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm, is seeking an individual with entry level experience in
environmental engineering to join our growing team of creative, collaborative, and community- oriented professionals in
downtown Bennington, Vermont, and other Vermont satellite office locations. Responsibilities will include a range of
drinking water infrastructure and environmental site assessment and remediation projects for a variety of commercial,
institutional, state, and municipal clients. The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic and professional
demeanor, thrive on hybrid collaboration, and be willing to perform both in an office environment and in the field.

Headquartered in the historic train station in Bennington, VT, we also support a hybrid work environment for staff with
various offices in Vermont, currently serving clients in VT, NY, CT, and CO. Our services span environmental, civil site,
geotechnical, regulatory assistance, transportation, survey, and construction administration. We’ve been working in the

You’ll be provided with the chance to: 

Perform standard civil design calculations (including but not limited to quantity and cost estimation) 
Draft plans, specifications, and detailed drawings under the supervision of a senior project team member 
Prepare construction documents for submittal to clients, municipalities, agencies, and others as directed 
Perform construction phase engineering services, including field observation, resolution of contractor inquiries,

design advice, review of payment applications and change orders, and construction coordination 
Work independently and in a team environment on various projects and tasks, including stormwater,

wastewater, transportation, grading plans, utility connection design, and site development 
Develop reports and preliminary concepts and assessments


Here’s what you’ll need: 

Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from an ABET accredited college (required) 
E.I.T. certification 
Ability to work independently or in a team environment and collaborate virtually 
Willingness to perform both in an office environment and in the field 
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills 
Ability to work independently on multiple projects with general direction 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
Proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, BlueBeam or other pdf editing software is required. Experience

with electronic database programs is a plus
