Full Job Description

Extrusion Technicians at Jifram Extrusions are primarily responsible for maintaining production equipment elements which includes setting up and starting extrusion equipment, QC inspection, and shutting down of ewequipment when the project is cpompleted. A positive attitude, ability to work in an environment with limited supervision and a willingness to contribute to a continuous improvement environment while meeting the following responsibilities and requirements is critical. On-site training is provided.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in a safe manner.
• Perform manual tasks such as supplying production line items, packaging products. and recording required information.
• Follow supervisor instructions for machine line operations.
• Report to supervisor any defects or problems that need to be rectified.
• Able to work well with others, plus the abaility to work alone.
• Maintain a positive attitude and good attendance.
• Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized.
• Perform quality assurance checks and testing compliance according to customer standards and requirements.
• Provide general plant, production line, and facility clean up.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, prefer associates or trade school degree
• Two years of production experience, preferably in the profile extrusion process.
• Focus on safe work practices and high quality .
• Work efficiently self-directed or in a team environment.
• Physically able to safely lift boxes, bundles, and/or reels weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Physically able to stand on concrete for 8 hours per day.
• Physically able to bend and squat at regular intervals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.50 - $24.50 per hour
