Iron Range Manufacturing

Full time position available working in a small company in fabrication in the beautiful Brainerd Lakes Area. Iron Range Manufacturing designs and creates custom truck bodies for utility in different industries. Our family owned company is truly a custom shop, as we work with clients to realize their unique goals for a work vehicle. We help clients to maximize efficiency by incorporating a wide range of options in their vans or trucks to accommodate the precise needs of their mobile businesses. The person suitable for this position is technically handy with basic power tools and must be willing to learn the operation of larger machines for metal fabrication. He or she will be working with steel and aluminum, fabricating and welding pieces to different specifications. The position has a wide range of responsibilities as we produce our products from conception to completion. Therefore, innovation and abstract thinking to problem solve are required. Responsibilities: Must be able to lift 50 lbs., have good communication skills and the ability to work as an individual as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use hand tools to cut, shape, join, and form metal pieces and other materials.
• Use welding equipment safely at high temperatures.
• Follow design plans, verbal instructions, safety procedures, and visual inspection methods to ensure that a product is built correctly.
• Follow health and environmental regulations and safe work practices while working in industrial environments.
• Confer with coworkers to align tasks and resolve any questions or concerns.
• Be able to use common measuring devices such as calipers, tapes, and gauges.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,865.00 - $47,672.00 per year
