Position Overview:


The Twin Peaks Restaurants Facilities Manager will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the physical restaurants continue to operate as efficiently and effectively as possible. This includes maintenance cap-ex, preventive and emergency maintenance, annual assessments, scheduled maintenance, and contract administration. The Facilities Manager will also be responsible for developing and administering facility service programs to positively impact the restaurant's bottom line. This position will be based in the Dallas, TX area.


Position Duties:


  • Identifies and manages the restaurants physical building/assets, equipment maintenance, and capital needs through annual restaurant assessments. Analyzes and troubleshoots problem areas, determines real and potential financial impact, advises management of appropriate/necessary action, and sources vendors/contractors to schedule repairs. Ensures maintenance service and workmanship meet brand standards.
  • Assists management in annual budget preparation for maintenance capital by researching and projecting costs; confers with operations on prioritizing and establishing project schedules; identifies restaurant expectations and develops project development plan; negotiates best price/contract for service and materials, and schedules work. Monitors project throughout the duration to ensure compliance with specifications and brand standards. Manages fund allocation to ensure the project comes in at or below budget.
  • Manages preventive and scheduled maintenance and contract administration including determining vendor, allocating bids, determining effectiveness, and making adjustments as necessary for new and current restaurants.
  • Serve as a technical expert for restaurant managers and area directors concerning repair and maintenance and equipment replacement issues, providing the necessary direction or ownership as required for resolution.
  • Review quarterly maintenance spending reports determining excess maintenance spending. Report excess spending to the Director of Operations to resolve any unnecessary spending.
  • Attract, develop, qualify, and monitor regional contractor/vendor base to support restaurant operations.
  • Act as a liaison between field teams, operations, and the support services group initiatives and brand-wide rollouts.
  • Ensure that the proper financial controls are in place and are used for bidding, capital submission, and work justification.
  • Provide onsite basic maintenance training for operators as applicable.
  • Develop strong relationships with the Operations Leaders by providing ongoing updates for projects, vendor performance, financial support, and education.
  • Assist other members of the Development/Construction department on special projects as needed.
  • Travel as needed to all assigned facilities and construction projects, weekly and may vary between local and out of town.
  • Emergency point of contact for all facility-related emergency issues.


Qualifications & Skills:


  • Bachelors degree in Business or related discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in restaurant facilities management or related.
  • Working knowledge of facilities, construction, service models, finance, and operations.
  • Strong analytical skills. Must be able to review different financial and spend information and make decisions based on analysis, trends, needs, and budget concerns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills, ability to prepare and deliver Word, PowerPoint, and Excel proposals, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Ability to clearly explain intent to service vendors, suppliers, and operations.
  • Strong leadership skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to travel a minimum of 50% and adhere to the Twin Peaks Restaurants Travel policies.
