We are currently hiring a Facilities & Utilities Supervisor in Milton, DE .

Facilities & Utilities Supervisor is responsible for providing equipment reliability program focus and management to the utility systems and facilities at the Milton Brewery. This person is leading the day to day operations of these programs, will execute and support all maintenance activities to achieve the desired results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and morale amongst the team.

What You'll Brew:

  • Oversees and directs the Utility Systems for the Milton Brewery
  • Develops improvement programs in these areas to best service customer and team needs, with strong leadership in continuous improvement principles
  • Assures equipment reliability of all Utility equipment
  • Develops programs to prioritize and accomplish reliability improvements
  • Collaborating with building owners and upper management on the repair, planning and funding for all facility needs
  • Monitors the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
  • Prepares facilities for changing weather conditions
  • Ensures preventive maintenance tasks are being executed on-time and within best practices
  • Prioritizes utility and facility maintenance opportunities
  • Directs the activities of the Facility and Utility team in performance of assigned duties to ensure equipment and facilities are maintained at levels consistent with best practices
  • Develops and collaborates on best practices and shares within the BBC maintenance and engineering network
  • Schedules routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
  • Leads in the development and implementation of capital projects necessary for the facilities and utilities to support the site needs
  • Initiates and directs renovation and capital improvement projects as required
  • Ensures reliable and efficient operation of utility services
  • Develops, directs and ensures completion of building, grounds and equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Develops and manages the staffing and capital equipment/improvements
  • Ensures facilities are in compliance with all applicable local, state and federal codes and regulatory agencies
  • Leads in the development of enhanced predictive reliability programs, such as real time vibration monitoring
  • Expands improvement programs throughout the BBC network by working with other site stakeholders, openly sharing improvements across the network, and engaging with other sites on common failures
  • Lead and conduct root-cause investigations for utility equipment failure incidents
  • Develops and reviews maintenance procedures, both internal and vendor, to ensure that maintenance and repairs are sustained
  • Builds the capability of our technicians through a development program
  • Ensures adherence to maintenance process including all KPIs for assigned area
  • Develops solutions for chronic and sporadic equipment reliability problems and collaborate with technical, operations and maintenance to implement effective solutions
  • Participate in daily shift meetings as required and provide consistent communications (through self or others).
  • Oversees and directs various outside service contractors while on site
  • Leads and serves on various equipment and continuous improvement teams

What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven supervisory skills/experience
  • 5+ years Facilities Maintenance With 5 Years Facilities Management
  • 1+ year working with and participating in LEAN manufacturing principles and activities. Ability to demonstrate and explain LEAN principles
  • Solid Mechanical and Electrical experience maintaining equipment
  • Ability to successfully motivate and coach others
  • Strong Technical knowledge of the beverage industry and equipment
  • Proven ability to effectively lead process improvement teams
  • Competent in using Computerized Management Maintenance System, Microsoft Office, including MS Word and MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PLC knowledge and experience a plus
