Faculty Position in Christian Leadership and Director of the Beeson International Center for Biblical Preaching and Church Leadership
Asbury Theological Seminary announces a faculty position in Christian Leadership in the E. Stanley Jones School of Mission and Ministry on the Wilmore, Kentucky campus. Preferred candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to the integration of leadership theory and Christianity within the Wesleyan theological tradition. The candidate should demonstrate potential for academic leadership within the Seminary, excellence in teaching, and scholarship in one or more of the following areas: leadership development, missiology and leadership, ecclesial leadership, and/or organizational development.
Candidates must offer demonstrable pedagogical/andragogical competencies in leadership education with an emphasis upon effective teaching in face-to-face, online, hybrid, and intensive course instruction. Teaching delivery systems and hybrid residency locations are established by the needs of the ESJ School of Mission and Ministry programs and Asbury Global needs located in Tampa, Orlando, Tulsa, Memphis, and Colorado Springs.
Beeson International Center for Biblical Preaching and Church Leadership
This faculty position will also direct the Beeson International Center for Biblical Preaching and Church Leadership. The Center, which is under the leadership of the Provosts office, bridges Asbury Seminary to the global Church. The faculty member will be expected to assist Asbury Theological Seminary in becoming a benchmark, global resource for transformational biblical preaching and church leadership by facilitating complementary learning experiences that equip followers of Jesus Christ to embrace His great commandment and fulfill His great commission.
The scheduled starting date is July 1, 2023. The position is tenure-track and the rank is open, contingent upon qualifications and experience. The normal teaching load for full-time faculty is six classes (eighteen hours) per year, as determined by the Provost and Deans. Two course reductions (six hours) will be granted for service as the Director of the Beeson Center.
