Job description

Seeking a caretaker for a 19-acre farm and estate property in Harding Township, NJ. Housing and utilities (water, septic, heating oil, propane) included in compensation plus additional $2,000 monthly salary. Live in a private two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment with kitchen, dining room, living room, enclosed porch, laundry room, outdoor patio and ample storage space.

Primary responsibilities include assisting in caring for goats and chickens (plus horses in the future), regular landscaping of the lawn and yard, mowing fields seasonally, maintaining the vegetable garden and approximately fifty fruit trees, repairing fences as needed and occasionally pet sitting for two dogs and one cat while the owners are travelling. Set your own schedule with roughly 40-hour workweek anticipated. Beautiful property with rolling hills surrounded by wildlife, horse trails, streams, lake and preserved farmland, yet only a ten minute drive to downtown Morristown or downtown Madison, with a New York City express train to midtown Manhattan.

Experience with farm animals is preferred and general handyman skills are valuable. Flexible start date, three weeks paid vacation plus $5K relocation supplement.
