Job description

• The full-time Cabling Tech will report to the Cabling Forman on site for a rapidly growing telecom engineering firm and will work to manually pull Fiber Cable through pre-existing underground conduit in residential neighborhoods throughout Ohio.
• Hiring out of Columbus, Cleveland, Akron, Toledo, Dayton, & Sandusky.
• All travel paid for by employer.
• Must be able to travel for 4-5 days at a time.
• Must have fiber pulling experience.

Job Duties

• Shift: 4 days a week 10 hour shift - Monday - Thursday (3 day weekend!)
• Primary Responsibilities will be to manually pull Fiber Cable through pre-existing underground conduit throughout residential neighborhoods in Ohio
• Support Drill Team operations and report to the on-site Foreman
• Be able to use cable placement equipment and tools
• Preparing surfaces
• Setting handholes and flower pots
• Opportunity for advancement to positions, including Restoration Team, Excavator Operator, Locator and Drill Operator
• Set up and use industry standard test equipment
• Maintain safe working habits

Requirements

• Must have experience pulling fiber
• Strong work ethic – Being on time
• Clean Driving Record - Must have reliable transportation - we pay mileage
• High School Diploma
• Ability to work well with others
• Work at a fast pace and with limited supervision
• General understanding of construction drawings / blueprints
• 1 year of construction or datacom experience
• Familiarity with industry standards
• Proven track record of hard work and motivation
• Positive attitude
• Ability and willingness to work in a construction environment under varying weather conditions

Experience:

• Must have experience pulling fiber
• Outside work experience
• Datacom: 1 year (Preferred)
• New construction: 1 year (Preferred)
