Food Machine Operator FULL-TIME + BENEFITS (MA20)

Location: Boston, MA

Pay Rate: $18.00 an hour

Hours: 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday (hours may vary and may finish late some evenings)

Responsibilities:

· Assembles, and starts equipment and observes operation to detect anything faulty; stops production line as needed, seeking immediate assistance to correct problems

· Follows blending and mixing procedures as outlined in product formulation

· Communicates deviations to set parameters to Supervisor

· Responsible for documenting all process and productivity information

· Eliminates contact between shipping containers and food

· Assists new employees and trainees in learning proper methods and procedures in areas

· Maintains clean, sanitary, and safe work practices, tools and areas

· Must maintain and comply with all HAACP, OSHA, USDA, SSOP, SQF and GMP requirements

· Must cross-train in all duties and areas of the job

· Others duties as assigned/needed

Qualified Candidates will:

· Must be reliable with excellent attendance

· Must be able to work long days during busy period

· Will train; experience working in a refrigerated environment a plus

· English or Portuguese speaking, reading and writing preferred

Work Conditions:

· Standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, repetitive tasks

· Refrigerated environment; wet environment using cleaning chemicals

· Handling heavy loads; lifting 50 pounds several times a day

Education:

· High school education or equivalent.
