Are you a dedicated self-starter who wants to work from home? Do you have a passion for writing engaging articles? Would you like to work for an established financial magazine that has built a reputation for excellence for over twenty years?

This is currently a freelance position, but you will have the opportunity to come on board full-time. Current compensation is based on experience.

Tasks:

• Follow 20-30 assigned public companies to find newsworthy article ideas.
• Write daily articles.
• Send articles to companies for factchecking.
• Input and format articles in our publishing system before sending to editor.
• Maintain list of sponsored companies you are responsible for.
• Maintain relationships with sponsored companies.
• Occasional staff meetings.
• Occasionally input new companies into our publishing system or update company information.

Skills:

• Ability to take information from multiple sources and then synthesize it to be palatable to investors.
• Experience managing a myriad of projects with quick deadlines.
• Ability to research and fact-check information to ensure accuracy.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of AP style.
• Knowledge of SEO.
• Able to adhere to company style guide.
• Client relationship facilitation experience.
• Willingness to learn and work as a team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable related experience.
• Minimum 2-5 years writing/editorial experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and accurately fact-check information.
• Willingness and ability work effectively in a remote environment.
• Experience using publishing platforms and other content management systems.

Preferred but not required:

• Experience with Zoom, Microsoft office suite, Otterai, Stockwatch, and Adobe.
• Broad knowledge of the stock market and finances, preferably having a background in mining and/or biotech companies.
• Copywriting experience.
