Position Overview

An opening currently exists for a Graphic Artist at our corporate office in Bossier City, Louisiana. This marketing position generates interest in our products and services across multiple channels, is paid on an hourly basis, and reports to the Director of Marketing & Sales Training.

Some responsibilities of this position are:

• Individually creates designs, develops and assembles images, drawings and content for various formats including digital (web/social), print (such as manuals brochures, flyers, and advertising material), and video.
• Ensures proper application of corporate brand standards; recommends corporate branding enhancements.
• Develops and successfully executes content with proper use of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout.
• Contributes to overall corporate success through accurate and timely task completion.
• Serves as project manager for all graphic efforts and collateral.
• Meets with stakeholders to discuss requirements and project design.
• Creates initial concepts, participates in collaborative revision and approval process to final design approval.
• Coordinates with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Three or more years of experience (academic and professional) with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Quark, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Extensive knowledge of print, electronic, and graphics media creation and application.
• Superior artistic and design skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and planning skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• A strong graphic design portfolio.
• A keen eye for aesthetics, details, and proofreading.
• Ability to offer and receive constructive criticism.
• Strong interest in skill set improvement through continued education and training.

Required Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree; major or significant coursework in Art, Graphic Design, or related disciplines highly preferred.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of WordPress and content management systems.
• Photography experience and proficiency with video/photo-editing software.
• Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript.
• Experience with use and troubleshooting of Mac computers.
