Minimum Qualifications: - High School graduate or equivalent with training in equipment maintenance and management procedures at the field- and sustainment-levels of maintenance. - Apprenticeship in Light/Heavy Automobile Repair, Automotive Mechanics, or similar preferred. - MOS 91S or equivalent military training preferred (DD 214 or Certificate of Training required to validate training). - A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and Host Nation Heavy Driver’s License. NOTE: US driver’s license must be valid for at least 18-24 months after hiring date. - HAZMAT Handling/Transportation Training desired. - 608/609 Certification preferred. - Ability to acquire U.S. Passport within 30 days of hiring. - Must be able to obtain and maintain successful NACI background for Common Access Card (CAC). - Must be a US citizen. - Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination: - To be qualified for this position you must comply with USCENTCOM MOD 16 that requires proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, as defined by the CDC or host country requirements. As of now, to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 you must have received either two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine, two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine, two doses of Moderna Vaccine, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, and two weeks must have elapsed after the final dose was administered. This definition may change in accordance with CDC guidelines. Compliance with this government requirement is an essential function of the position and is a condition of employment. - Experience: - Approximately two (2) years’ experience as an electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems maintenance mechanic. - Approximately three (3) years of hands-on experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with one (1) year at the field- and sustainment-levels of maintenance. - Experience maintaining Stryker Family of Tactical Wheeled Vehicles. - Skills: - Must have knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance. - Familiar with the use of Military electronic or paper version of technical manuals. - Ability to read, analyze, understand, and interprets blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, reports, technical publications, and documents. - The ability to troubleshoot, determining causes of operating errors and deciding on the proper course(s) of action. - Must have excellent communications skills, both written and oral, in English. - Ability to work in a diverse workforce. - Requires a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork. - Must exercise discretion and good sound judgement. - Knowledgeable of the Army Maintenance Management Principles and Standards. - Knowledgeable of physical security of government issued equipment. - Possesses excellent interpersonal skills; must be customer-oriented and divers. - Ability to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion. - Ability to work effectively with employees and management of all levels to include multi-national staff, superiors, and ranking military officers and non-commissioned officers. - Must have good understating in the use of MS Office other related applications.
