Job description

We are looking for a Host to join our team at one of the busiest restaurants/bars in Downtown, New Haven. We need a well motivated, outgoing, and hard-working individual who works well in a fast-paced environment. Full/open availability is a HUGE plus. Previous hosting experience preferred, but not necessary. We are willing to train the right person. Please reply and include your resume. Applications without resumes will not be considered.

Host responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Greet customers with a warm welcome as they come in
• Answer the phone within 3 rings
• Manage reservations
• Handling takeout orders, both over the phone and online orders
• Communicating guest concerns to manager when appropriate
• Exhibiting Teamwork by helping fellow team members
• Assist in wiping down and setting tables as needed in between turns
• Escort customers to their tables
• Maintain a clean reception area
• Additional service tasks as determined by manager
• Effectively maintaining our wait times
• Make memorable first impressions

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
