Riverside Hospitality LLC. is currently seeking to fill the following position on our management team:

Position: Director of Housekeeping

Reports To: General Manager

Purpose of the Position: Ensure cleanliness and efficiency in the housekeeping operations of The Riverside Hotel.

Essential Responsibilities:

Strategic planning and vision for the housekeeping department.

Effective recruitment, selection and development of team leaders and team members

A coaching nature and empathetic approach to leadership to positively impacting colleague satisfaction and the guest experience

Ensure high morale through recognition and the removal of identified barriers

Analyze appropriate staffing levels and time management systems.

Research industry trends and implement enhancements to product and service, using technology-forward solutions as a tool to improve processes

Track and address all housekeeping-related guest comments and concerns

Ensure core cleaning standards are implemented and audited for consistency through daily inspections and auditing

Develop/update job Task Checklists and standard operating procedures for all shifts and positions

Prepare department operational budget

Develop ‘life files’ on furniture, seating, bedding and small appliances for guest room and public areas including equipment that co-relate to 7-year capital plans

Plan, cost and execute capital expenditures

Plan, organize and implement all deep cleaning and recurring “special duties” projects for guestrooms and public areas

Create an effective purchasing program allowing for operating supplies and expenses within budget

Ensure effective scheduling, vacation planning and department productivity

Provide necessary resources, functional tools and equipment to get the job done effectively and efficiently

Effective everyday communications with Executive and Department Managers

Participate in special projects, as directed.

Your Experience and Skills Include

A high level of professionalism and confidentiality

Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate colleagues

Previous management experience in Housekeeping Operations, including but not limited to Hotels

Must be highly organized and energetic and possess the ability to get the job done

Detail oriented

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel

Physical Demands:

Effectively move fingers, arms and hands for typing and computing

Lift and carry up to forty (40) pounds, with frequent walking, standing, sitting

Maintain a valid Drivers License and have reliable, insured transportation

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
