Operations Manager

Our work depends on Operations Manager joining our team to ensure that contractual obligations are met for systems support and process integration, procedures, and document preparation for the implementation, deployment, and maintenance of an enterprise-wide tuition assistance award solution. You will work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and collaborative environment which requires strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills.
HOW THE OPERATIONS MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Manages the day-to-day operations of tasks in assigned program area including technical work, staff supervision, financial and business development activities.
- Supervises technical and administrative staff and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation.
- Directs program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems.
- Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits.
- Participates in business development activities at all stages, including the preparation and review of technical and cost proposals.
- Participates in program financial management services, including financial analysis, budget and cost quote preparation, cost management, reconciliation, and profit enhancement.
- Coordinates and monitors sub-contractor activities and administers subcontractor deliverables and finances.
- Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, consulting agreements and other program documents.
- Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested.
- Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a professional specialty AND 5-plus years of relevant experience, including 3-plus years of program/project management experience in an application/data processing setting. A Master’s or similar advanced degree may substitute for 2 years of experience. Supervisory or project management experience.
Preferred Experience: Prior experience with tuition assistance programs, grants management, COTS implementation, software development, and/or the management of a 50+ person service desk. Prior experience managing a staff size of over 50 technical and non-technical resources.
- Security Clearance Level: No Security Clearance Requirement. We are not able to support a work visa for this role.

- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; Critical thinking and creative problem solving.
- Ability to understand and manage customer expectations and software implementation methodology.
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at the same time, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple initiatives/deadlines autonomously and shift priorities as necessary.
- Recent system modernization project experience preferred.
- Comfortable in a project start-up environment.
- Location: Remote, with potential occasional travel to the customer location.
