IN HOME CAREGIVER - COME AND BE PART OF OUR AMAZING RESPITE TEAM
Our Respite Workers deliver in-home services to families with developmentally disabled children and adults in the Reno, Carson City, Gardnerville and neighboring communities. We are looking for individuals who can work independently and is task oriented. You will have clearly defined responsibilities and a great team to reach out to if needed.
As an In-home caregiver for Eagle Valley Children’s Home, you will assist our special needs clients with meals, bathing, toileting, range of motion, and transfers in their home. You will also supervise activities for games, arts & crafts, and outings. This position will provide valuable experience for someone interested in human services or a career in health care. This is a nurturing and friendly work environment. Our families depend on our Respite Workers to help give them a much-needed break and allows the caregivers in the family a chance to spend time together and to do other things that don't require the day to day needs of caregiving.
WHAT WE NEED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Our Respite Workers travel to different homes in various communities to provide services for our special needs population
- Ability to work on the weekends - most active time for families to plan something
- The ability to work independently
- Reliable transportation and insurance
- Willingness to learn, there is no experience needed. There will be plenty of training for you to be successful in your new role.

- You will get paid for drive time to a scheduled respite and paid mileage (10 miles past EVCH) to your respite

REQUIREMENTS
You must be able to lift and carry 65 lbs., pass a background check and drug screen including marijuana, and to be vaccinated against COVID & Flu.
$500 Sign-On Bonus (Some restrictions apply)
Schedule:
- Flexible schedule but must work weekends
- Can work around school schedules
- Full-Time or Part-Time
Salary:
- $17.01/hr. to start
- $17.52/hr. after successful 6 month review
- $18.41/hr. after successful 18 month review
- Drive time and mileage compensated
