What you’ll learn & achieve::
This role is Hybrid at our Northbrook office

The IT Endpoint Lead develops and designs IT technology solutions within end-user and hardware systems. Performs complex analysis and translation of business, information, and technical requirements to achieve IT solutions that meet business needs. Develops design specifications and deliverables related to the support system enhancements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for creating, testing, and modifying UL’s PC images for laptops and desktops
    and UL’s patch management process for Microsoft security patches for workstations and servers
  • Performing software review, as necessary, to determine software solutions based on user request
  • Perform software distribution and packaging duties as necessary
  • Document configuration and installation processes and details
  • Perform system hardware/software troubleshooting as necessary
  • Interface with hardware and software vendors as necessary during imaging processes and standards activities
  • Work with users, other support staff, and service desk for escalated troubleshooting assistance
  • Assist in creating and deploying Active Directory Group Policy in relation to end-user computing configuration
  • Actively participate in strategy and planning sessions related to PC and end client activities
  • Lead and recommend project/activities to improve imaging processes and maintain currency with evolving solutions.
  • M&A Integration and device strategy
  • Experience with Windows Package Manager and Windows security tools
  • Support with scripting and coding tools especially with regard to OSD Imaging processes and SCCM packaging.
  • Assist in performing infrastructure upgrades and maintenance to MECM

What makes you a great fit::
  • University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline plus generally two years of directly related experience and working technical IT experience in area(s) of specialty.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of personal computer hardware the Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 operating systems, its service branches, and configuration. In depth experience and knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (formerly known as SCCM) and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager OSD is required.
  • Preferred experience with support of Lenovo hardware and Lenovo ThinkVantage technologies, Dell, Apple iOS, & Android.
  • Preferred knowledge of contemporary "Modern PC" imaging techniques
