The DeSantis Law Firm is a top Criminal Defense Law firm in CT, specializing in high profile state and federal cases.
We seek a Legal Secretary to assist our team of attorneys with daily tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both legal and clerical work, and experience interacting with attorneys and being part of a small team. This position is located in a relaxed office in which the Attorney is not always there, which means the successful candidate will be able to manage work independently, but also have the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
Responsibilities:
- Manage calendar for attorney
- Manage phone calls, scheduling appointments and organzing daily tasks.
- Manage email, regular mail and assist with any legal filings
- Be familiar with Judicial Branch Website (can train)
- Familiar with PACER (can train)
- Be comfortable speaking with inmates and other clients.
- Work with paralegal to research legal questions and help with other filings.
- Work with attorney on lists of tasks that need to be completed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
