Pierce Memorial Baptist Home, a highly-regarded skilled nursing facility in scenic Brooklyn, CT, is looking for additional licensed staff members (RN/LPN) to join our team of compassionate caregivers.

Licensed Practical Nurse LPN Charge Nurse:

• 3rd shift: 11p-7a: PT 16 hours

Responsibilities of a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN Charge Nurse include:

• Overseeing and providing assistance to certified nursing assistants
• Providing clinical assessments and maintaining regular contact with physicians in relation to residents of a skilled nursing facility
• Working with the resident, family, and doctor to determine the service plan that will best serve the needs of the resident.
• Updating the aides with regards to the new resident, and preparing a shift by shift list of care that the aides will perform.
• Ensuring that the staffing is adequate to serve the needs of the residents
• Communicating with the resident, family, and MD on an ongoing basis as needs and plans change
• Administering medications and treatments to residents on a daily basis

Requirements of an LPN Candidate:

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse license without restrictions (out of state transfer is easy and inexpensive, don't worry!)
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in nursing or home care
• CPR Certification (re-certification offered on site)
• Kindness/Compassion
• Willingness to work as a team player
