This position is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Steward Health Care Workforce. POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Operations Manager of Emergency Services, and the direct supervision of a Charge Nurse, the Licensed Vocational Nurse in the Emergency Department provides direct nursing care to individual patients according to physicians' orders and applicable patient care standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Current licensure in Texas as Licensed Vocational Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preferred.
• Previous experience in emergency nursing with at least one year of experience on a Medical-Surgical or Telemetry Nursing Unit preferred.
• Current CPR.
• ACLS within ninety (90) days from hire for experienced nurse and twelve (12) months for Nurse (new to the field or returning to the profession in Emergency Services).
• CPI within ninety (90) days from hire.
