Mail Order Operations Lead (Order Processing and Fulfillment)

Annie's Annuals & Perennials, located in Richmond, CA is a nationally recognized, trend-setting plant nursery offering one of the largest selections of rare and unusual annuals and perennials to be found anywhere. Our offerings include exclusive plant introductions, California natives, cottage garden heirlooms, and Mediterranean climate varieties from around the world. The majority of plants are grown from seed without the use of growth hormones, systemic pesticides or neonicotinoids. Our on-site R&D facility and 2.5-acre nursery are a botanical and pollinator wonderland! Annie's focus on plant education makes gardening accessible to everyone -from beginning gardeners to lifelong enthusiasts. Our business is comprised of retail, mail order and web sales. Annie's Annuals & Perennials is searching for a professional, service oriented individual to join our dedicated and friendly Mail Order team! The position begins immediately. The ideal candidate is a stickler for details, a confident communicator and multi-tasker who can provide exceptional process support with a positive attitude. Plant knowledge is preferred, but will consider candidates with great attitudes and strong background in customer service and/or accounting/banking.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain flow of mail order paperwork from customer to shipping

• Ensure order, inventory and customer file accuracy

• Order entry and processing

• Maintain customer records

• Learn about Annie's plants

• Process daily payments

Requirements:

• Customer service experience

• Organized and detail-oriented

• Communicate problems and solutions clearly, effectively, and kindly

• Work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure setting

• Intermediate computer skills; POS system, email, MS Office, Internet navigation competency

• Fluency in speaking and writing English. Spanish a plus

• Knowledge of Annie's plants and our website, preferred

• Desire to learn; Fast-learner

• Ability to sit for long periods of time- this is an office/desk position Key Qualities:

• Interest in plants and gardening

Documentation of Covid Vaccination/Booster required or receive an approved exemption.

Job Type: Full-time. Monday – Friday

Salary: $20 - $25 per hour
