Perform electromechanical analysis and repair of equipment with multi-functional use, as well as, provide building facilities support of maintenance needs for the central distribution center operations in Albert Lea, Minnesota.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as trainer of safety training for other employees and contractors associated with safe Maintenance practices/procedures.
  • Support the maintenance needs of the overall facility and grounds including but not limited to the parking lots, general grounds light maintenance, light repair and general maintenance support of the Central Distribution Center.
  • Support the needs of general maintenance required related to distribution automated fulfillment system, general operation equipment, systems, lift equipment, systems, and equipment technology. Applicable skills and abilities demonstrated through trouble shooting techniques, preventive maintenance, or both while coordinating additional advanced service work utilizing internal and external resources as the operational needs dictate.
  • Interfaces and utilizes proficiently maintenance software such as E-maint maintenance management software for tracking work, materials, cost, etc., of which are associated with planned and unplanned maintenance activities of assets.
  • Completes preventative maintenance checks and inspections as required and on time. Documents data, costs and labor in maintenance software.
  • Assures that proper documentation is filled out and spare parts are accurately maintained and identified to provide rapid response to problems.
  • Evaluate equipment malfunctions with a sense of urgency to minimize downtime.
  • Modify equipment as necessary to improve safety, quality, productivity and reliability.
  • Perform tasks in a quality fashion by meeting or exceeding the internal customer’s requirements.
  • Ability to perform welding and metal fabrication duties.
  • Follows and promotes on the job safety expectations. (eyes, ears and L.O.T.O.)
  • Tries out equipment after repair and leaves it and the area in a clean safe condition.
  • Train operators on the proper use of equipment.
  • Ability to utilize a personal computer (PC) based maintenance management system.
  • Ability to plan, layout and construct basic production equipment or combine processes.
  • Read and understand essential ladder logic diagrams.

Qualifications
  • Two year technical training degree in pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic circuits is required. Prefer to have specialized training and minimum of two years work experience in PLC and electro-mechanical trouble shooting. Minimum of six years of equivalent work experience and/or OJT is acceptable.
  • Reading and writing skills are essential. Ability to read and comprehend simple correspondence. Ability to process specified instructions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
  • PLC software experience preferred.
