The Data Transfer Manager (M1) is responsible for daily operations of a dedicated Data Transfer Agent (DTA) Team. The dedicated DTA Team will conduct daily transfers between multiple classified networks supporting multiple programs. This is a working manager role which requires processes and procedures development, conduct data transfers, and manage the team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages a six-person team responsible for executing data transfer in support of Launch Vehicle programs
  • In accordance with organization goals, provides direction on activities and behaviors to increase morale
  • Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and solutions
  • Provides guidance to team on development, performance, and productivity issues
  • Provide program schedulers with day to day support, guidance, troubleshooting, and satisfying programmatic requirements
  • Support Launch Vehicle program administering the Data Transfer Agent (DTA) duties for information systems processing National Security Information.
  • Perform mission critical data transfers across various security boundaries for multiple programs (Low-to-High, High-to-High, High-to-Low) and networks (NGPCN, SIPR, CCN)
  • Ensure DTA software (Purifile, Document Detective) is operating in accordance with RMF (JSIG)
  • Perform Assured File Transfer (AFT) related security education and training
  • Manage 1010 waiver
  • Conduct associated tasks as prescribed by the LV Data Transfer Manager
  • Provide weekly status of all file transfer actions to and from classified information systems
  • Coordinate handling, destruction, receipt and transferring of security related documentation
  • Ensure all DTA related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals
  • Participate in technical and security related training relative to assigned duties
  • Full working knowledge of procedures and practices.
  • Assist the ISSMs of each classified network with approved data transfer process and two-person integrity (TPI) policy execution for their areas of responsibilities.
  • Report all security-related incidents to the ISSM
  • Ensure all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities
  • Formally notify the ISSM when changes occur that may compromise performance of Assured File Transfers
  • Understand Programs Security Classification Guide (SCG)
  • Support/coordinate internal and external surveillance audits and DCSA reviews, and integrated baseline reviews

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Eng degree plus 5 years of experience; Master's plus 3 years
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance.
  • CompTia+ certification
  • 5 years experience in leading projects and teams
  • Proven experience with Data Transfers over multiple classifications
  • Proven experience writing processes and procedures for data transfer
  • Understanding of, DAPM and JSIG guidelines
  • Top Secret Clearance upon start


Salary Range: $93,800 USD - $140,800 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
