Position Overview

The Manager of Operations - Virtual Center leads the virtual center operations team to ensure inventory is received, stocked and shipments are picked, packed, processed accurately, and shipped in a timely manner. Coordinates and ensures daily deliveries, as needed, are executed. Recommends and implements strategies to maximize capacity, productivity, and efficiency and maintain competitive advantage through continuous improvement. Communicates expectations, assesses leader's and team member's performance, and provides development. Enforces safety and security measures. Team members are required to maintain an availability that meets business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the activities of the Virtual hybrid center management team and their direct reports. Monitor workflows and make hourly adjustments as necessary to maximize output and achieve goals.
  • Coordinate staffing and equipment needs that provide maximum order performance and maximum asset and labor utilization.
  • Partner with the Fulfillment Manager to achieve budget requirements and forecast targets for production output, quality, distribution costs, and order turn times (aka SLAs). Monitor UPHs by the department and address shortfalls as appropriate.
  • Achieve and maintain a safe work environment that meets and exceeds company guidelines and government regulations such as OSHA.
  • Manage the tracking and distribution of materials to ensure production inventory is stocked and available. Implement and maintain product handling and storage techniques that prevent product damage.
  • Guide, Direct, and Motivate leaders and team members. Provides guidance and direction, including setting performance expectations and monitors performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Resolve complex problems with independent action.
  • Establish procedures and guidelines across multiple departments.
  • Demonstrate considerable judgment in selecting methods.
  • General Computer Skills.
  • Off-shift hours and weekends, as necessary.
  • Travel: Moderate, 10%-50%.
