The sixth UGN facility in Monroe, Ohio, officially opened in September 2015. The state-of-the-art facility has more than 475 team members and supplies Honda Motor Co. with superior acoustic insulation, carpet, and underfloor technologies. In the fall of 2018, UGN expanded the Monroe plant by adding another 150,000 square feet to the $50 million, 232,500 square foot facility to supply Toyota and Subaru. The UGN Monroe facility has already distinguished itself to Honda for exceptional service. Every year, Honda recognizes suppliers who increase value to the customer by removing waste within the overall product and supply chain. The Monroe facility was presented with the award in November, 2016.

The Material Handler – Shipping/Receiving performs all driving and related functions in the movement of materials necessary for the operation of the Materials departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-start checklist on forklift.
  • Safe operation of Industrial forklift operation.
  • Maintains cleanliness and operation of equipment.
  • Maintain housekeeping in the warehouse, storage areas, and docks, removing and dumping trash
    or removing recyclables from these and manufacturing areas as necessary to maintain
    5s plan.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Wearing proper PPE at all times
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Receiving

  • Unload incoming trucks and validate quantity of goods against the packing slip or invoice and create discrepancy report as necessary.
  • Verify incoming materials for correctness, quantity and damage and place in designated locations using FIFO system.
  • Using FIFO system, supply manufacturing with raw materials and shipping containers as
    required to support production.
  • Use RF Scanner

Shipping

  • Load out-going trucks to meet customer and UGN requirements.
  • Using FIFO system, stage orders to be shipped and verify.
  • Unload customer returns and rejected materials in designated areas and notify Quality Control.
  • Follow the proper shipping procedure for individual customer

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED); and one plus months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior knowledge of Oracle password RF
  • Forklift truck experience
