Job description
THE COMPANY:
Midwest Dental Sleep Center established in 2006 has 5 locations in and around the Chicagoland area. MDSC offers sleep breathing treatments to patients diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea or Snoring. The company operates in a niche market where Dentistry meets Sleep Medicine and Durable Medical Equipment.
THE POSITION:
Full-Time Clinical Assistant
Locations to be determined by applicants address: We are located in: Homer Glen, Lombard, Chicago, Skokie and Barrington.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducting a patient interview,
Documenting patient visits within the electronic medical record,
Room set-up and breakdown using infection control practices,
Taking vitals,
Taking X-Rays,
Taking digital Impressions,
Proving patient education,
Making adjustments to oral devices for fit and comfort,
Reviewing prepared financial estimates, Accepting payment,
Scheduling follow-up,
Faxing referrals,
Sending out approved cases and checking cases in from lab.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree
Previous experience in healthcare setting working directly with patients. This might include Scribe, Dental/Ortho Assistant, Medical Assistant, Counselor or Social Worker etc. May consider another type of applicant that can clearly establish they have a similar skill set and are a great match on personal traits and other skills
TRAINING/EDUCATION PROVIDED:
Dental Sleep Medicine
Navigation and use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Medical documentation (eClinicalWorks)
Patient interview
Use of iCAT for Digital X-Rays
Taking Digital and PVS Impressions
Patient training and education on the delivery of equipment
HOURS:
Weekdays 7:00AM - 5:30PM
Four 10-hour days per week (40 HRS)
Pre-set schedules which include multiple locations (vehicle required). 30 or fewer minutes drive to either location is best
