Provides gas measurement and control related assistance in developing/maintaining company standards, work procedures and quality control to be published in corporate manuals. Develops, upgrades and assists with writing the meter maintenance programs and provide economic analysis of repair procedures.

SALARY RANGE: $67,650 - $101,450 (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Meter Shop Manager

LOCATION: Council Bluffs, Iowa

  • Relocation financial assistance is available, amount may vary based on individual circumstances.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with developing budgets based on projections for field meter and measurement equipment needs and align ordering and delivery with projections.
  • Develops, writes and updates company measurement standards and procedures for publication in company manuals, consisting of installation, testing and maintenance procedures of company facilities.
  • Performs special projects involving measurement discrepancies. Audits test ata for valid input into meter maintenance programs.
  • Coordinates and maintains the meter maintenance programs for CIS+ for a multi-state system.
  • Primary contact for meter issues regarding billing issues, state commission reports/corrections and CIS+ meter maintenance programs.
  • Researches and evaluates new and old measurement practices, equipment, and maintenance/test programs and schedules. Supervises programs for state commission rules and regulation compliance.
  • Provides input in CIS+/PeopleSoft to maintain and correct meter inventory as metering equipment is removed from service and made unusable then usable. Coordinates CIS+ and PeopleSoft meter inventory interface.
  • Provide expertise, support and backup for the measurement group. This includes cost analysis, inventory assistance, warehouse production and meter discrepancies.
  • Assists with developing company measurement and control related training programs for company personnel.
  • Determines accurate meter management attributes for correct billing and for meter test programs. Provides alternatives for managing CIS+ and meter test programs and reports.
  • Manage multiple programs and sampled lots of meters in determining INTEST program results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of (3) three years of experience in the measurement and pressure control fields required or equivalent experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Understanding of natural gas metering, regulation, corporate billing and regulatory requirements for natural gas measurement is helpful.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and CIS+ systems is helpful.
  • Excellent digital literacy with emphasis on utilization of spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. The ability to work with multiple work groups across the entire gas organization.
