Position Summary
The Mold Maintenance Technician works under limited supervision on machined parts for all production areas. Using their technical knowledge, the Mold Maintenance Technician will perform preventive maintenance, repair molds, and fabricate components. This role is responsible for supporting department the leadership to meet the quality, production, and cost improvement objectives for the Ink Cartridge Business Unit.
Essential Functions

• Inspect, clean, repair, and modify molds and machined parts for all production areas
• Work from technical documents, written procedures, and/or verbal directions to complete tasks
• Maintain necessary records and reports of activities
• Adhere to established quality specifications and company standards
• Read and edit G code programs using Mastercam for a HAAS CNC mill
• Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for CNC equipment
• Partner with engineers and participate in design reviews
• Coordinate with vendors to maintain an adequate supply of materials and to complete projects on time and on budget

Other Responsibilities

• Follow company-wide safety programs, 5S initiatives, and ISO procedures
• Regular and reliable attendance is required to accomplish essential functions of the job

Education and Experience

• Associates degree in Machine Shop Technology, completion of 4-year apprenticeship program, or equivalent applicable education and work experience is required
• Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing tooling experience using production machinery
• Proficient understanding of machine tools and their proper use is required
• Proficient knowledge of tool steel and heat treatment requirements
• Demonstrated understanding of injection molding technology preferred
• Advanced PC skills are required, including Microsoft Office and Mastercam
• Proficient ability to perform geometry and trigonometry is required
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel and outside vendors

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in a warehouse, tool shop, manufacturing, cleanroom, and/or office environment that is subject to moderate to high levels of noise, specialized apparel and safety equipment, and moving mechanical parts. This position will have exposure to and use of materials listed in the companys Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee **conducts primarily heavy work with constant periods of standing, walking, reaching, squatting, climbing, crawling, stooping, talking, listening, pushing, and pulling. Repetitive motions (movements) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers are required. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
