Advanced Regional Center for Ankle and Foot Care with offices located in Altoona, State College, Huntingdon, Ebensburg and Bedford is searching for a full time Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner(NP) to work in a multi-specialty orthopedic and podiatry practice. This position is primarily Monday-Friday, with call requirements. Our friendly staff and orthopedic physician will train and mentor new graduates.

We advocate a team based approach in our practice and a competitive salary/benefit package. For more than 35 years, we have built a robust podiatry practice and the addition of orthopedics, with emphasis on foot and ankle care, will only enhance the exceptional care for our patients.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Clinic and surgical responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care to all orthopedic patients within the practice
  • Perform orthopedic diagnostic evaluations and in office procedures
  • Order and obtain x-ray studies, interpret those results and communicate them with the physician as necessary
  • Document on the practice EHR system
  • Exercise prescriptive authority to prescribe according to federal, state and local laws
  • Collaborate with physicians across the practice

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program recognized by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • Board certification and current license is required
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills; work independently as well as with a team
  • Must possess exemplary oral and written communication skills with an excellent bedside manner
  • Take initiative and enjoys a fast paced environment
