Overview:
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-Time Patient Safety Technician for Nursing Resources at Newton Medical Center, to work 7am - 3pm, including every other weekend.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- To provide one to one observation for patients that are of high risk for self-harm.
- Responsible for assisting the patient to the bathroom, meals, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Required to stay in the room with the patient and be within an arm’s reach of the patient in the event of an emergency.
- Document on a flow sheet their observation time.
- Communicate with nursing team and maintain patient video monitoring screen
Minimum Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
Minimum Experience:
- Patient care experience a plus
