Boqueria® Restaurants is on a mission to find a People & Payroll Assistant to support our restaurant and Home Office teams with a proven track record in HR administration and payroll processing.

Boqueria is a Spanish tapas restaurant group, with 8 locations spread throughout NYC, DC, Chicago & Nashville. Boqueria is expanding across the Eastern part of the United States and this position will require some occasional travel to support restaurants outside of New York City.

Are you our People & Payroll Assistant?

The People & Payroll Assistant is responsible for ensuring that People Team processes are running smoothly by providing administrative support.

The People & Payroll Assistant will manage the People Team inbox, payroll processing, ad hoc reporting requests, and processing changes in the HRIS system throughout the team member life cycle.

You’ll thrive in this position if you are:

• Knowledgeable about local, state, and federal payroll compliance

Responsibilities:

Here’s the kind of work you’ll get to do:

• Process payroll for all team members on a weekly basis
• Execute administrative tasks associated with the team member lifecycle – onboarding, employment changes, off-boarding
• Track and maintain records related to team member files and compliance initiatives
• Support with ad hoc reporting and projects

Qualifications:

• At least one (1) year of administrative experience in the HR field
• At least one (1) year experience working with an HRIS and/or Payroll Software
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent verbal and electronic communication
• Have an open mind, a desire to learn, and a positive attitude
• Highly organized and detail oriented

Highly Preferred:

• Ability to speak Spanish
• At least one (1) year of hospitality experience
• Familiarity with Toast POS and Dolce tipping systems
• Payroll experience
