Job description
I am seeking to hire a highly organized, efficient, dependable, and trustworthy professional to manage tasks. This is a part-time, independent contractor position, paid hourly. Candidates must have availability for at least 15 hours of work per week with opportunity for up to 10 additional hours per week, as needed, possible. Work hours are flexible, but need to be spread out throughout the week. Occasional weekend availability is required and would be discussed/scheduled well in advance in most instances. There is significant growth potential for this role, including full-time employee status. The professional in this position can accomplish most tasks virtually. One day per week of in-person support in NYC (Manhattan/Brooklyn) is highly preferred; minimum of 1x/3 weeks required.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling meetings, events, appointments, etc. and managing calendars
- Coordinating business and personal team members on scheduling and other logistical matters
- Assisting in home office admin tasks – processing mail, scanning, filing, and organizing
- Coordinating travel, service requests, and repairs
- Paying bills
- Preparing client invoices
- Purchasing supplies, gifts, etc.
- Running occasional errands
- Assisting in preparing for and executing company events, social parties, etc.
- Entering and/or quality checking data
- Undertaking basic research projects (vendors, businesses for outreach, etc.) and presenting findings and recommendations
Required Availability & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Sound judgment and exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- In-person availability at least 1x/3wks in UWS/Upper Manhattan and/or Park Slope, Brooklyn
- Proficiency with Google Workspace apps (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Forms, etc.)
- Availability to commit to the role for at least one year
- Demonstrated understanding of responsible internet safety best practices
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
- Driver’s license with clean driving record and access to a vehicle for occasional errands that involve transporting items
- Familiarity with Mailchimp and/or CRM platforms
Compensation
Compensation is between $20 and $25/hour, commensurate with experience.
