Summus Healthcare is adding a Staff Pharmacist to our team. Our Pharmacists deliver exceptional patient care and are knowledgeable in medication management and patient education. This is a flexible part-time position with hours of operations being Monday - Friday (9:00 am - 5:30 pm). This is a great opportunity for a candidate looking for a work/life balance.

$45 - $60 hourly

• Reviews prescriptions to assure accuracy, ascertain the needed ingredients, and evaluate their suitability.
• Provides information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage.
• Maintains records such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories, control records for radioactive nuclei, and registries of poisons, narcotics, and controlled drugs.
• Maintains procedures for packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals according to policy and legal requirements to ensure quality, security, and proper disposal.
• Provides specialized services to help patients manage conditions such as diabetes, asthma, smoking cessation, and high blood pressure.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, review, and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of drugs and drug regimens, providing advice on drug applications and characteristics.
• Analyzes prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions.

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree
• Texas Pharmacist license
• Some pharmacy experience is preferred
